It is the mission of the Parish Council to assist in the achievement of our Parish Vision. Specifically, the Parish Council strives to create a sense of belonging, a desire for participation, and a spirit of WELCOME.
The Parish Council is an advisory board of active parishioners who assist the Pastor in identifying and addressing pastoral matters related to the achievement of the Parish Vision. The Parish Council investigates these pastoral matters, considers them prayerfully, and presents options and/or makes recommendations to the Pastor. Upon approval from the Pastor, the Parish Council may coordinate and oversee the implementation of its recommendations.
As an instrument for members of our Parish to express concerns or ideas related to the achievement of our Parish Vision, the Parish Council needs to hear from parish members constantly to ensure that its focus is truly on the needs of the Parish community. We have 7 members of the Parish Council: Seaneen Breen, John Call, Patty Chisholm, Kandy Kukas, Mary Roach, Len Spada, and Christine Newhall, Chairman. Please feel free to contact any member or catch them after Mass with thoughts, suggestions or feedback.
Members of the Parish Council may be nominated by other council members and approved by the Pastor or appointed by the Pastor. Typically, members of the Parish Council serve a two-year term. Meetings are held on a monthly basis. The Parish Council meets once each quarter with the Finance Committee to understand the financial health of the Parish.
The Parish Council meetings for Fiscal Year 2016 are at 7:00 on Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14, Dec. 12, Jan. 9, Feb. 13, March 13, April 10, and May 8.
